Itinerary

Morning Pickup from Arusha
We’ll start the day early, picking you up from your Arusha hotel and setting off towards Arusha National Park, located just a short drive away. As we approach, you’ll be welcomed by the cool, green surroundings of the park, set against the backdrop of Mount Meru.

Ngurdoto Crater Exploration
Your adventure begins with a drive around the Ngurdoto Crater, often called the "Little Ngorongoro." From the viewpoint, enjoy sweeping vistas into the lush, forested crater below. The crater is a haven for buffalo, warthogs, baboons, and waterbucks, and its marshy terrain attracts a variety of bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.

Guided Walking Safari
At the Momella Gate, an armed park ranger will join us for a thrilling walking safari—an experience few Tanzanian parks offer. With the ranger’s guidance, we’ll walk amidst the park’s resident wildlife, encountering giraffes, zebras, and smaller mammals up close. This immersive journey lets you appreciate the park’s beauty in a way that’s impossible from inside a vehicle.

Picnic Lunch in the Heart of Nature
After a morning full of wildlife encounters, we’ll pause at a scenic picnic site to enjoy a packed lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of Arusha National Park. Relax and soak in the sounds of the wild, with the possibility of spotting playful monkeys or birds nearby.

Afternoon Game Drive
Following lunch, we continue our tour in the comfort of a safari vehicle, exploring more of the park's unique ecosystems. From open grasslands to acacia woodlands, each area of the park supports different animal species, offering a chance to see giraffes elegantly striding through the plains, troops of baboons, and herds of zebras grazing peacefully.

Return to Arusha
As the afternoon wanes, we’ll head back to Arusha, reflecting on the day’s wildlife wonders and unique experiences. We’ll drop you off at your hotel, concluding a memorable adventure with Woodland Trek & Safaris.
